SP4847 : Remains near the Cherwell

taken 12 years ago, near to Wardington, Oxfordshire, Great Britain

Remains near the Cherwell
Remains near the Cherwell
These remains are in a field beside the River Cherwell. The river flows past the trees and a little further downstream passes a weir and the remains of a mill so it is probably reasonable to assume that these foundations were in some way associated. The cattle seemed to find me interesting and wandered over to make a closer inspection!

I've also been informed that this is the foundation for a WWII Air Field defence AA gun.
