SX7863 : Signal Box, Staverton Loop
near to Dartington, Devon, Great Britain

Signal Box, Staverton Loop
This box controls the passing loop just north of Staverton station, as well as the signalling in the immediate sections. This is a full size box, whereas the one to be seen in the station itself is primarily to control the level crossing at the south end of the station. To the left are two examples of the numerous preserved items of rolling stock to be seen on this railway. The grey one is a former GWR brake van, whilst the other is a mineral wagon painted in the colours of a former local Devon quarry.
