TL0229 : Southbound sliproad M1 Jn 12

taken 12 years ago, near to Toddington, Bedfordshire, Great Britain

Southbound sliproad M1 Jn 12
Southbound sliproad M1 Jn 12
This is the sliproad from the A5120 southbound (actually south-easterly) onto the M1 at junction 12 near Toddington. Underneath the M1 London sign on the right can be seen a smaller dark sign with an elephant on it - this is pointing the route to Whipsnade - what one might call a trunk road !
NOTE: Since this photograph was taken this junction has changed considerably, with big looping exit/entry roads to the west on both sides of the bridge. The sliproad seen in this image no longer exists having been replaced by part of the loop some way to the north and on the opposite side of the A5120 (it then loops back under the bridge to continue southeastwards).
