SE0316 : Stott Hall Farm
near to Booth Wood, Calderdale, Great Britain

Stott Hall Farm
Famous for having a motorway (M62) passing either side of it. The westbound carriageway is above the farm, whilst the eastbound is below it.
When the motorway was built, the popular story was that it had to divert either side of Stott Hall Farm because of a dispute about re-siting the farmhouse. It is now accepted that the carriageway is split because of geological problems fitting six lanes of motorway onto the side of the hill.
