Limestone hills, Aston
Limestone hills, Aston
The Ludlow Anticline, a great kink in a 80km long limestone ridge surrounds Aston with a double rampart, where the harder limestones are found. The dip between the ridges is due to softer mudstones. As usual the limestones are grazed. The pastures quick to turn brown in dry weather due to the good drainage.
