Odd sign on Cluanie Estate
Signs like this are common on Scottish estates but they normally give details of the stalking period (The stag stalking season runs from 1 July to 20 October and the hind season from 21 October to 15 February but for the majority of estates the peak stalking time is from August to October) and contact details for the gamekeeper to find out what is going on where. This just asks you to keep away from deer stalking areas at all time (including outside of the stalking season, when the photo was taken), which is not in keeping with Scottish access laws.
