Bridge over the M27 east of Bunker's Hill
Bridge over the M27 east of Bunker's Hill
This arched bridge connects private residences on Copythorne Common (and a public footpath) to the A31 road (on the far side). The narrow bridge has a weight limit of 32 tonnes and is really only able to take one vehicle at a time. The M27 is in a cutting below, the section between junctions 1 and 2 being the oldest part of the motorway.
