Phacelia is being championed as set aside planting which can either be ploughed in as green manure before flowering, used as game cover or as an environment to encourage beneficial insects. It is recommended as a "wild" margin plant for large fields as it attracts bees and, in particular, hoverflies. It looks good as well!
