Entrance to Knowle Farm, near Lea Heath, Staffordshire.
Entrance to Knowle Farm, near Lea Heath, Staffordshire.
This is the main entrance to Knowle Farm. Although still a working farm, judging by the number of post boxes attached to the fences on either side of the entrance and what can be seen of the farm from the road, some of the old farm buildings have been converted into dwellings. The footpath leads to Knowle Farm and runs parallel with the farm drive. The brick parapet is part of the bridge that takes the lane between Lea Heath and Hixon across Bourn Brook. Shaw's Rough, a clump of woodland, can be seen in the distance, beyond the herd of grazing dairy cows.
