SD3588 : Looking over Rusland Heights

taken 13 years ago, near to Rusland, Cumbria, England

Looking over Rusland Heights
Looking over Rusland Heights
The Heights are a mini-wilderness of bog, bracken and birch, now an area of open access. Above and beyond the extensive pines of Grizedale Forest can be seen the Helvellyn and Fairfield fells with the prominent hump of Red Screes and Caudale Moor separated by the notch of the Kirkstone Pass.
