Footpath to Old Scotland Lane
Separating two areas of woodland, Pedler's Croft to the left and Furzefield Copse to the right. Both woodbanks are still very much in evidence.
Binsted :: SU9906
A lightly populated parish a couple of miles west of Arundel that still remains very rural in character. Settlement was most likely based around a farm and a church which was built sometime in the 12th century. The village was initially based around the church but seems to have disappeared by the 14th century leaving only a few mounds in a field to the north. From that point settlement straggled around the 'U' shaped Binsted Lane with no real centre. The parish was joined with Tortington to the east in 1933 then transferred to Walberton in the west in 1985.
