This impressive Art Deco (Art Moderne) cinema was built in 1936 in the streamlined ocean ship style complete with funnels. Opened as the Odeon, it has been split into 2 with the cinema entrance (now Scott Cinema) in Mount Street to the right. The main auditorium building can just be seen behind the tower facade.
