This modernist Bus Station, probably built in the fifties, is typical of its time following nationalisation. When privatisation came in the eighties many buildings like these were swept aside and the inner-city prime land sold for redevelopment, depriving passengers of somewhere warm and dry to await their bus. This one has survived, but for how long?
