Ludlow
Viewed from Whitcliffe with the tower of St Laurence's Church prominent on the right. The building in the left foreground is Dinham Hall, built in 1792 by Samuel Nash, land agent for Richard Payne Knight of Downton Castle, and now a hotel. To its right is the Guildhall, built in the 14th century and faced in brick in the 18th century, which now houses Ludlow Magistrates' Court. Behind these the buildings can be seen the roof and part of the facade of the Assembly Rooms, designed by a local architect, Samuel Stead, and opened in 1840. After a major restoration completed in 1993, it now serves as an arts centre for the town, as well as housing the Ludlow Museum in the section facing Castle Street.
In the middle distance, to the left of the church tower, is the dome of St Peter's RC Church in Henley Road, and in the far distance is Brown Clee.
