A minor dale, but with the usual combination of limestone outcrops and varied grassland flora. A nice stroll, its noisy neighbours - the quarries of Moss Rake - notwithstanding. This picture is taken from the roadside at the "bottom" of the dale (it actually continues, beyond the road behind the photographer's position, as Hartle Dale - see SK1680 : In Hartle Dale).
