The red buoy is West Narrows marking the western side of the channel with its green companion, East Narrows, marking the eastern side. The depth of the channel is more than 30 metres deep between the boys and shallows to less than 4 metres within 5 metres from the buoys. Just to the right of the West Narrows Jack-up rig Sea Worker, owned by Athene Salvors, is being refuelled by Lizrix a small tanker used for refuelling in the harbour and Falmouth Bay.
