The plume from the Ratcliffe-on-Soar power station is reflected in Tween Pond, Attenborough Nature Reserve.

All morning my postage stamp-sized view of the Beeston Business Centre car park through the office window had indicated that it was a beautiful sunny day. So I was a bit surprised when I pulled-up on The Strand in Attenborough village for a dinnertime stroll on the reserve to find that the aspect was cloudy. It was just a short walk to the shore of Tween Pond to discover that the cause of the relative gloom was not going to pass on the wind.
