On Broughton beach 99% of it is totally sand, but in one area (which the stream flows through), is an rock pool with crabs, shrimps, fish and other creatures.
The hill behind the beach is Llanmadoc Hill which is Devonian rocks - coarse sandstone and conglomerates.
