View from Bidston Court Gardens
A mock Tudor mansion was built here in 1891 for the soap manufacturer R.W.Hudson. It was then moved brick by brick in 1931 to Royden Park where it was renamed "Hillbark" - featured in gridsquare SJ2485. Only the gardens and paths remain and the place appears to be open to the public. The lawns are regularly mowed. Despite the graffiti, it's still a nice place for a picnic.
