Huntsman and Hounds, Green Lane, near Althorne, Essex

This attractive and inviting public house, with an elaborate thatched roof, was not open when photographed and, as the sign had been temporarily removed, perhaps for cleaning or repainting, I did not find its name until later. I intend to return next time I visit the Dengie peninsula, to sample what, I feel sure, will be an excellent glass of ale.
