Wintry River Tweed in Hay Lodge Park, Peebles
Snow and frost have whitened most of the view here from the Fotheringham bridge, except the Parish Church tower. Ice is beginning to build out from the bank at the right, and thin plates of ice are floating down the river. Temperatures have remained below zero for a few days, with minima down to -15C or thereabouts.
