The Dales Way in snow
The Dales Way in snow
The snow on this flat open moorland stretch of the Dales Way at around 270m altitude was about half a metre deep. The number of people using the national trail had beaten a good track through the snow, while the very cold temperatures (as low as -17C at night) had kept it from turning into slush.
