SP5006 : Morrells Brewery Chimney
near to Oxford, Oxfordshire, Great Britain

Morrells Brewery Chimney
Morrell's Oxford Ales were brewed here until 1999.
Most of the site is now housing, but how thoughtful of the developers to leave this heritage chimney as a memento of the former brewery.
Chimneys are of course notoriously difficult and expensive to demolish in confined spaces, but naturally this had nothing to do with the kind gesture.
By the time this starts to crumble and bits drop off, as they will if that bush growing on the top gets much bigger, the thousands needed for repairs will be someone else's problem.
