Lea Newbold - the Bishop Bennet Way
Lea Newbold. Bridleway 5 (Bishop Bennet Way). Bishop William Bennet (1745-1820) was Bishop of Cork and Ross and later of Cloyne. He carried out one of the earliest detailed surveys of the old Roman roads of Britain. The trail bearing his name is a long-distance bridleway from Beeston to Bradeley Green via a long loop west across SW Cheshire.
