This elegant Polish sail training ship is the Sts Fryderyk Chopin, named after the Polish composer Chopin. She was launched in Gdansk in 1992.
She came into Plymouth whilst on a voyage from the Netherlands to the Carribean, and had a crew of 11 as well as 36 teenage trainees on board.
Six days later, on October 29th 2010, she was dismasted 100 miles west of Scilly, without anyone being injured, and was towed back into Falmouth Roads.
