The Black Pinnacle, Braeriach
The Black Pinnacle, Braeriach
First climbed in October 1911 by James A Parker and three companions, who scrambled up Coire Bhrochain to the saddle in the foreground and climbed the E (left) face of the pinnacle, leaving a small cairn on the crest as proof of their visit (see Scottish Mountaineering Club Journal, vol. 12, 84 (1912)). The pinnacle is seen from the edge close to the 1296m summit.
