The photograph, taken from near the top of Albert Road, shows the northern end of the Clarence Gardens and the North Bay sands.

The white coloured building on the left is the Clifton Hotel on Queens Parade.

The headland at the northern end of the bay is Scalby Ness [TA 03595 91062] and beyond that Long Nab [TA 02969 94023] can be seen.
