Bandroom off Dewsbury Road, Elland
According to a sign the Elland Junior Silver Band meet here. In the 1950s and early 1960s it was an annex to South End Junior Mixed school. There were two classrooms, one on each side of the central door. The 8 and 9 year-old boys were taught here and there was a small, walled-off playground, part of which still survives. The building is prefabricated, and might have been a re-used army building brought from another site. (Information from Tim Shackleton)
