Footpath between the sewage work and some caravans

Pleasant walk adjacent to the railway line

Starting at Barnham Church walk down to the footpath junction, then westwards along the old canal bed past the sewage works to Lidsey. Cross the A29 and again keep due west until you reach Colworth. A further short section takes you to two lay-bys on the A259. Now keep going west past Groves Farm until you reach the footpath junction south of Merston. You have just a short "dog leg" left to reach the church.
