SK0253 : Level crossing
near to Bradnop, Staffordshire, Great Britain

Level crossing
Just off Cook's Hollow on the Ashbourne to Leek Turnpike in Staffordshire. This is the North Staffordshire Railway Link
line from Leekbrook to Waterhouses and Cauldon - see SJ9653 : Wall Grange & Longsdon station, North Staffs., SJ9954 : Disused railway near Ashenhurst Ford and SK0154 : Disused railway. Just as with SK0055 : Railway Cottages the railway company ignored local housing styles and stuck up their standard red brick house for the crossing keeper. The part visible here is mainly a modern extension to the original 1905 house. (Since geograph is not interested in movable objects, there is no point in saying that the bus is an ex-London Transport Routemaster, fleet number RM 1152, reg no 152 CLT. Link
It was in service in London from 1962 May to 1986 Sept, did four years in Scotland before being bought for preservation. Link
The owner has apparently moved here from Sandbach. Link
