Commuters leaving Olton Station
Commuters leaving Olton Station
Although Olton is now part of Birmingham's "commuterland", in the early 20th century it was the home of Edith Holden, while she wrote (what was to become after her death) the 1970's best seller "The Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady". In the diary Holden describes the surrounding countryside (before it was built upon).
