According to a statement on the Volunteer Scotland web site the Centre's main priority is the assessment and treatment of children aged 0-19 with developmental, physical and associated emotional/behavioral difficulties to help them reach their maximum level of function and independence by providing a comprehensive and co-ordinated service. All the needs of each child are taken into consideration as well as those of the family in order to provide a full treatment programmed for children with special needs. Conditions include cerebral palsy, autism, Down's syndrome and muscular dystrophy as well as rare and unidentified syndromes.
