TR1448 : Saint Mary's Church, Stelling
near to Bossingham, Kent, Great Britain

Saint Mary's Church, Stelling
This strange little church is virtually in the middle of nowhere. It is reached by side roads from the former Roman Stone Street Road that runs from Canterbury to Hythe. It has a very low square tower that gives it the appearance that it is hugging the ground and afraid of the West winds to which it is particularly exposed. There are some huge ancient yew trees in the North West corner of the churchyard and a row of small cottages to the South.
