Cheswardine Hall
Cheswardine Hall
The Hudson family originally had the house built in the 1880's. In the 1950's it was bought by the de La Mennais Brothers, a teaching order from Brittany, who used it as their Juniorate for teaching boys who wanted to become members of their order.
In the late 1960's it was used as a remand home for delinquents.
It is now an old people's residential home owned by a Mr and Mrs Poole.
