A Cow Parade exhibit amongst the devastation of the Cowgate fire site. In 2002 a nightclub fire took out a warren of old buildings in the depths of the Cowgate. These included a row of shops on South Bridge, The Gilded Balloon Fringe venue and the Department of Artificial Intelligence, University of Edinburgh. The site awaits redevelopment.
