Mill Hotel, Sudbury
This was a fulling mill, the water driving hammers to beat woollen cloth with fuller's earth to whiten and remove grease. The water wheel is still rotating; it is within the low part of the building which is now the bar and restaurant area of the hotel. The water in the foreground is the mill race, the water flows on to rejoin the River Stour.
