Gutter Tor - Dartmoor
Gutter Tor - Dartmoor
One of the rock piles of Gutter Tor - SX 578669. The name Gutter probably derives from the medieval names of Gotetorre (1281) and Gotterknap (1539) - although some have said that it may be a corruption of Cut Tor. There's a lot of rock clitter around Gutter Tor, so it would originally have been a large tor.
