Denbury Hill Fort - Earthworks
Denbury Hill Fort - Earthworks
This photo shows the path that has been worn over the years between the outer and inner earthworks which used to form the defensive ring of protection to those living in the settlement in the Iron-Age fort (100-300 BC).

The thick growth of trees now covering the site can be seen - a feature that now limits the view from anywhere over the area of the old settlement. There are limited views in the winter months when there are no leaves on the trees.
