SH7327 : Gunpowder factory

taken 14 years ago, 3 km from Ganllwyd, Gwynedd, Great Britain

Gunpowder factory.
Gunpowder factory.
This is the end building in a block of four. Underneath is a cellar within which a prop shaft used to connect the waterwheel to the machinery in the buildings.
The factory was probably built to provide for the many local gold and lead mines.
