Remains of WWII buildings on Ibsley Common, New Forest
During the Second World War an airfield was created at Ibsley in the Avon valley below, and there were a few associated buildings up here on the plateau of Ibsley Common. On the right are the remains of a rectangular building, and on the left what looks like a small air-raid shelter. The entrance to the shelter is partly filled with brick rubble from the building on the right. Neither of these buildings are marked on any OS map.
