Beacon's end: Borth sea defences

One of the most popular (in Geograph submissions) pictures in Borth has been that of the beacons at the end of the longer groynes, e.g.SN6089 : Navigation marker on Borth Beach. Alas no more. As the work on the sea defence renewal continues, both groynes and beacons are mostly being removed. It is interesting to see just how much of these beacons lay under the sand - well over half the length.
