A trio of mallards over the River Derwent
Looking upstream from Devonshire Bridge. The newest of two bridges over the river in Baslow. This one carries the A619 to Bakewell.

As luck would have it I still had continuous shooting switched-on from taking pictures of birds in the garden the day before, so with a quick burst I was able to catch these three as they zoomed overhead to land back on the river on the downstream side of the bridge.
