"And so to bed" as another literary genius Samuel Pepys used to say; or in our case, around the corner and up to the station!
A literary inspiration
Visiting the splendid Emsworth Museum I picked up a leaflet costing 10/- (50p) entitled "A walk around Emsworth with PG Wodehouse". Starting at the railway station it guided me around what he called "this sleepy-by-the-world-forgotten sort of place". The names he encountered here inspired many of his most splendid creations: The Duchess of Havant, Lord Bosham, Lady Ann Warblington, The Hon Galahad Threepwood and his woolly headed elder brother Clarence Link
