taken 13 years ago, near to Bishopstone, Wiltshire, England

Dead and alive, Faulston Farm
Dead and alive, Faulston Farm
The trunk is decaying, but the elder holds on to life.

They used to plant an Elder outside the outdoor privies to keep the flies away!!

The brick and flint banding of one of the barns of the farm is in the background.
