Poltimore House

The ghostly presence of a stair-tower of 1600 in the narrow courtyard of the C18-C19 house, the entire edifice protected under a huge roof from further damage from the elements. The badly-vandalised Poltimore reached the final of the TV series Restoration in 2003, and is still waiting for specific plans for its use before there is any chance that repairs will begin on the house, though much has been done to rescue the gardens.
