SK0793 : Snake Pass: heading over Coldharbour Moor

4 km from Glossop, Derbyshire, Great Britain

Snake Pass: heading over Coldharbour Moor
Snake Pass: heading over Coldharbour Moor
The A57 Snake Pass heads from Sheffield towards Glossop, whose modest sprawl can be seen beyond Hurst Reservoir, towards the left of the picture. The illuminous edges of the chevron signs catch the sunlight. The tarmac in the foreground (right edge) is a lay-by which is almost certainly the original course of the road.
