Aire Puist agus Telegrafa access cover, Dunfanaghy
Aire Puist agus Telegrafa access cover, Dunfanaghy
Aire Puist agus Telegrafa access cover located on a road south-west of the centre of Dunfanaghy (Old Cottage Road on the Google maps, but this may be incorrect). Aire Puist agus Telegrafa was the Irish equivalent of the British General Post Office and existed from 1924 until 1984 when it was split into An Post (post) and Telecom Éireann (telecommunications). This was one of several similar covers I noticed in the area - all marked with the P&T logo and still in use. The covers are almost identical to their GPO equivalents such as J2968 : GPO access cover, Dunmurry.
