Ruined farm buildings at the Ffordd Ddu pass
Ruined farm buildings at the Ffordd Ddu pass
A sizeable farm building located at the top of the pass of Ffordd Ddu, the old track from Tywyn to Dolgellau. Now a minor road of local importance only, the track once was the major access to the settlements on the coast to the west of Cadair Idris. It runs between the pair of walls just below the farmhouse. The imposing escarpment at the back is Tyrrau Mawr, part of the Cadair Idris ridge.
