Cairn at Esgair y Ffordd
Tradition has it that the cairn marks the burial ground of the dead from the Battle of Hyddgen in 1401 (see SN7888 : Track beneath Fainc Ddu). Of course, at that time, this would have been open moorland. The cairn is now almost surrounded by forestry.
