Penmorfa, West Bay, Llandudno
Alice Liddell's parents, the dean of Christ Church, Oxford and his wife, after honeymooning in Llandudno, decided to build "Penmorfa", as a permanent holiday home on the West Shore. The house was subsequently the Gogarth Abbey Hotel and has now been converted into apartments.
Though there is no evidence that Lewis Carroll ever visited Llandudno, Alice Liddell, who was the inspiration for 'Alice in Wonderland', spent many childhood holidays there.
